BAKING A CAKE FOR THE FIRST TIME

13:08

So, today was a special day as it was Arfa's little brother's birthday. As we wanted to do something for him we decided to make a cake (even though it was our first time). Because we both at absolutely new at baking we decided to use a pre-made cake mix to minimize our chances of failure. Fortunately, the cake turned out okay and her brother liked it. Mission successful!
We used this Pillsbury Supreme premium cake mix in strawberry flavor.
According to the instructions on the package, we also needed some eggs, water and some cooking oil. For the icing we just used some butter and some icing sugar.
After mixing the cake mix, eggs, oil and a little water we greased a microwave safe dish using some butter and transferred the mixture into it. We microwaved for about 2 minutes and stuck a tooth pick in it to see if it was ready. The tooth pick come out pretty clean so we took it out and let it cool.
The cake itself was pink so we decided to leave the icing white. After icing it slightly we put it in the fridge for about half and hour before we decided to dig in.
Not the best cake ever but hey, for the first try it was pretty decent.
What do you guys think about this cake? How was your first experience was? We'd love to hear your experiences in the comments!
